I Make Good Choices
When I started working as a school counselor I noticed many of my students seemed angry. That anger resulted in poor choices that would often get them into trouble. I started the 'I make good choices' group with the hope of working on anger management techniques. However, when I started the group many of the participants did not label themselves as angry. I still use books that allow students to discuss anger but I now label it as being frustrated or overwhelmed. Students seem much more willing to admit that they get frustrated and overwhelmed causing them to make bad choices (anyone else have the same experience?). This particular group outline is for younger kiddos.
